Sales and Service for Heat Innovations Outdoor Wood Stoves The Homesteader Wood Fired Boiler is the first wood fired, hot water outdoor furnace manufactured in western Canada. Engineered specifically for our colder climate with a proven system, you will enjoy low heating costs for years to come. As pioneers in the outdoor wood furnace industry, we are proud to introduce you to the Homesteader. Homesteader Features 1. Self venting expansion stack. Open system means no pressure buildup 2. Totally insulated, R20 fiberglass is used on walls and roof. Styrofoam is used on bottom. Engineered to be set up outside 3. Extra large insulated door with gasket seal. Door is adjustable to maintain controlled burn 4. Adjustable aqua-stat senses water temperature and automatically opens or closes the natural draft damper to control fire and maintain desired water temperature. This is much more efficient than forced air draft systems 5. Water level sight gauge. 6. Heat exchange water tubes, through the fire box increase heat transferring surface area and efficiency 7. Cast iron grates and full length scoop type ash pan ensures long life, even with hotter fuels like coal. Ash pan slides in under grates and lets you remove ashes without extinguishing the fire 8. High efficiency water jacket ensures fast recovery 9. 7 gauge steel firebox ensures long life. Large chamber easily takes 4' long logs or square bales. Big capacity keeps refueling down to a minimum 10. Returning cooled water is uniformly distributed along the top of the water jacket. It is more efficient because this is where the most heat is. Water is drawn off both sides along the bottom 11. Insulated stainless steel chimney is recommended. Rear exit chimney design helps keep rain out of the fire box. Clean-out plug makes it easier to clean. Hinged baffle at chimney redirects exhaust gases for a secondary burn 12. Lifting ring is standard 13. Pull-out ash pan 14. Separate ash pan door on models V-92 & VI-92 15.
